Every November, 18,000 to 20,000 visitors enjoy the best of local wildlife, art, heritage, and more at the Waterfowl Festival in Easton’s lovely streets, a generations-old tradition.
Art enthusiasts can discover exceptional wildlife art by renowned master artists and enjoy various events and vendors. Entertainment options include retriever demonstrations, Dock Dogs competitions, and musical performances. Holiday shoppers can find unique gifts, and local nonprofit organizations raise funds through mouth-watering Eastern Shore cuisine.
For newcomers to Talbot County, volunteering at the Waterfowl Festival is an excellent way to make friends and experience the region’s warm hospitality. Many first-time visitors become regular attendees.
Since its establishment in 1971, the Waterfowl Festival has not only showcased the unique Eastern Shore heritage but also contributed over $6 million to grants for environmental, conservation, and educational projects across the Delmarva Peninsula. This funding preserves wildlife, waterfowl, habitat, and heritage for future generations, while also inspiring young conservationists through educational programs and scholarships for student volunteers.
